Weapons Of War

2nd November 2005 3:30pm

The Guns are back! With reinforcements! As well as new stocks of the ever popular Electric Shock Guns, we now stock Shocking Tanks! Being the dedicated professionals that we are we felt we ought to test them out before we offered them for sale to our customers.

In a thinly veiled excuse to play with toys we tested them out on our friends when we had a few drinks to help Garrett celebrate his birthday. He even bought his new friend Candroid along to join in. So fuelled by a few bottles of Red Wine and a glass or two of Jack Daniels we went to war.

The remote controlled tanks are great fun, boys (and girls) toys at their best! Each control unit is fitted with electric shock sensors and a direct hit from your opponent with give you quite a jolt, not enough to hurt (much) but's it's not pleasant and encourages you to learn evasive moves very quickly!

(If you fancy a set of your own, then please take a trip to our little online shop)

Sorry to have to say that once again we have sold all our stocks of these great toys, however we will be restocking very soon and will let you know as soon as they are back again

Problem Solved!

1st August 2005 2:45pm

This comment came from a customer who wanted a bunch of 12 red heart foil balloons delivered to her boyfriend on Valentines day. This was a particularly difficult order to fulfil as the logistics of getting such a large number of balloons delivered on a Saturday was a nightmare! So we delivered them by hand! We managed to persuade Alison's husband John to get in his car and drive them up to the BMW showroom and hand a huge bunch of balloons over to one of the salesmen. He might have been a little embarrased to get them from a big burly man but the end result was another happy customer.

Hi ya,

Yes thank you, he loved them! Thank you so much for going to so much effort to make them just right, they are wonderful!

I have passed on your details to several of my friends and family so I'm sure you will be getting a lot of business round this area now, I will certainly be using your company again after all the time and effort you put in for me!

Many thanks once again!

Jacqueline

St. Valentines Day Massacre

1st March 2005 3:47pm

As far as our gift delivery service goes Valentines Day is the single biggest day of the year for dispatches.

It's always a major operation for us, carried out with military precision and all hands on deck. The number of 'Balloon-in-a-box' deliveries we make for that one day of the year can increase 10 fold, and this year was no exception. Still it's nice to know that there are still some romantics out there!

As our shop is also our home, our office and a general meeting place for the waifs, strays and coffee addicts of Odiham it's chaos all round. Everything that can possibly be done in advance of the day itself is prepared beforehand, like writing out the cards, printing the labels, selecting the balloons, cutting ribbons etc so that all we have to cope with on dispatch day is blowing them up, packing and dispatching. This gives us plenty of time to check, double check and triple check (and we really do check everything three times - at least) because there is nothing worse than making a mistake with a delivery and spoiling someone's surprise, doubly so on Valentines Day - we had three wedding proposals by balloon this year alone!

Even our couriers had to put on extra vans to collect them all, Bradley (and his van of joy!) wasn't enough on his own so City Link sent a further two transits down as reinforcements when the balloons were all ready to collect. However despite the volume everything went remarkably smoothly and everyone got their balloons on time, and as far as we know all the proposals were accepted - ahhhhhhh :)
